Amy ‘efficiency’ Stanley is part of the HQ team at Arbtech. Having studied geography at Chester University, Amy wanted to progress her career in a discipline related to environmental science and applied to Arbtech on the back of a recommendation from a flood risk engineer!
Amy is self-motivated, scrupulous, and has a shrewd ability to anticipate what our customers and her colleagues need, before they know themselves. If you’ve worked with Arbtech regularly, you’ll no doubt have dealt with Amy directly at some point as she’s often posted to complex jobs for our high value clients.
Amy has come a long way since she started as a graduate, having used Arbtech’s unlimited CPD fund to undertake a research masters in conservation in 2017 and these days she is also a Natural England licenced bat ecologist, among other things. If you’re interested in reading more about her early stage career steps, check out Amy’s Journal – Amy’s Journal: Becoming and Ecological Consultant. Here, Amy chronicled her break into the environmental consultancy sector and her training and development that took her from geography graduate to practising ecologist. Since then, she’s been promoted (twice) and is now a senior consultant.
Amy has been with us 6 years.
Robert Oates, director says:
I sit opposite Amy all day at our head office in Chester, so I am very aware of how efficient she is at dealing with anything my colleagues and our customers can throw at her. In fact, she is so efficient that she turned to me one afternoon having only learned the ropes a few weeks previously – and this was during a very busy period for the business I should add – and said that she had nothing left to do that day.
I thought about it for a moment and realised the only response was: ‘guess you’ve earned an early dart, then!’ It’s great to be able to do that. You know you’ve got the right person working with you when they get through an absolute mountain of work by mid-afternoon!
Meet the other members of our leading ecology and arboriculture team.
