Ed Day
Rob’s vision and the opportunity to use AI in a new domain really stood out to me.
The company culture and how they treat their staff were also big factors.
Arbtech seems like a place where innovation is encouraged, and people are trusted to get on with their work without unnecessary red tape.
That level of autonomy – combined with the chance to apply AI in a fresh, impactful way – made it an easy decision for me.
It’s still early days, but from what I’ve seen, people value the freedom to get things done in their own way.
There’s a strong sense of trust, which makes for a positive work environment.
Everyone seems passionate about what they do, and that kind of energy is contagious.
It’s refreshing to be in a company where innovation isn’t just a buzzword but something people actively strive for.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, writing and going to rock concerts.
Music has always been a big part of my life, and I try to catch live shows whenever I can.
I also make it a point to attend the London Film Festival each year – it’s a great way to see films that might not get wide releases and discover new directors.
Create your own opportunities instead of waiting for them.
Whether it’s in your career or personal life, taking the initiative makes a huge difference.
People often get stuck waiting for the ‘right time’, but the truth is, there’s never a perfect moment – just the one you decide to act on.
Being consistent, learning from setbacks, and staying adaptable will get you further than just having talent or luck.
I haven’t been to one yet, but I’m looking forward to seeing what’s on the horizon.
From what I hear, the social events here are well put together and a good way to connect with the team outside of work.
I’m heading to a punk festival in the Czech Republic soon, which I’m really looking forward to.
If I could choose anywhere I haven’t been yet, it would probably be India. The culture, history and food are all things that interest me, and I’d love to experience it firsthand.
Still at Arbtech, continuing to work on AI-driven projects, and expanding how AI is applied within the industry.
I see a lot of potential for innovation here, and I want to be part of shaping how the company integrates AI into its work.
I also want to keep taking on new challenges, whether that’s improving existing processes, exploring new applications of AI, or helping others develop their skills in this space.
Professionally, I want to refine AI deployment strategies to make them more environmentally friendly and cost-effective. As AI adoption grows, it’s important to think about the long-term impact – not just in terms of efficiency but also sustainability.
Outside of work, I’d like to continue travelling and experiencing new places. Seeing different cultures and perspectives always brings fresh ideas and a renewed sense of curiosity.
