Excellent service.
Take a look at some of the kind words our clients have said about us recently
Excellent service.
The survey was detailed with all the information we required.
Matt was very quick to pick up the file and realised the importance of getting it done ASAP so we could amend our planning application. Matt also made us aware of the negative areas we had within the application and those that could possible effect a decision in our favour.
Great feedback and attention to detail throughout the process.
Jon Hartley met me on site and carried out the survey and completed the report and method statement.
Slight confusion on the arrival time on site but apart from that, every thing went well. Clear helpful communication and delivery of report as originally discussed and within the timing we required as a client. This was despite the challenging winter weather experienced in the week the works were needed which was effecting travel and movement everywhere is South East England.
Very happy with the experience of working with Arbtech.
Joe was a great help and did a thorough job in advising and inspecting out Barn loft,
Because of Joes help and suggestions we hope to have planning permission to develop our Barn loft.
highly professional. will be asking for your services again.
Jon did a great job in getting various reports across to us in great detail as well as working within the time constraints which had asked him to keep to. We also have asked Jon to do several reports which do not fall under any specific report or category heading and the time and effort which was put into this by Jon was terrific.
there was some delay following the roost assessment because the findings required a BMP in order to be of use in submitting to the LPA but the report was produced only citing a BMP as a recommendation. However, Natalie attended to the BMP swiftly as an add on to the roost assessment enabling us to submit the to LPA.
Arbtech organisation and communication were impeccable. Service was quickly scheduled and executed as promised! Joe arrived at designated time and carried out the survey with minimum fuss – maximum efficiency. The Report was promised a little faster than normal and we received it in the time requested. The Report is very comprehensive and helpful in advising times when construction can take place without disturbing wildlife giving us a window to complete. Highly recommended.
I spoke to a few different people over a number of questions and every member of staff was so helpful, the were efficient and extremely Knowledgeable. I would definitely use this company again, their customer service was outstanding.
Charlotte was very approachable and a pleasure to work with, and is the reason for the higher than average rating I have given. My reservation is with the cost Arbtech ascribe for one of their team to produce surveys. Our particular survey, a phase 1 habitat PEA cost over £950, this did not include the £110 for data from the Wildlife Trust in order to complete the report. I felt that it could have been keener and with hindsight ;)
We are very pleased you liked our consultant, Charlotte. We know that in exceptional cases, local planning authorities request surveys that are not proportionate to the site and development, and for this reason our work can seem expensive in relation to the total development spend. However, this is an issue to be raised directly with the local planning authority. In respect to your point about costing: all of our surveys are produced on the back of fixed-fee, written quotes that are approved by the signature of our client on our survey booking form (in which, the client him/herself must hand-write the service requested, and the agreed fees and associated data costs–so that we can be sure that our quotation has been read and understood). Your £799+VAT fee reflected the total work involved (not just the time on site), and was made clear in our 1-page, written quotation. Thank you again for your business opportunity. All the best with your development! – Team Arbtech.
Jo (and Craig who did the visits) were very helpful and completed our bat reports / licensing in an efficient and timely manner – and were very helpful in answering our questions on a topic which we know little about. Would have no hesitation in recommending Jo to others.
This was a big learning curve for me, as I have never been involved in bat surveys, bat licences etc before. The process was made a lot easier with the help from Jo Gregory (Ecologist) she explained all the necessary steps required throughout the project. We initially had a preliminary bat roost assessment surveys carried out, only to find out the building we had planned to demolish had bats roosting. After this we had to have further bat surveys carried out to enable us to get a Natural England licence to have the bats removed, this was time sensitive as we needed the building demolished and bats removed before they went into hibernation in late November/December 2017. And the planning permission was running out, this would have delayed the project until 2018 and I would have had a very unhappy client. The whole process started in March 2017 up until we had the licence approval in early October 2017. We had Jo Gregory to attend site early November 2017, while we carried out a soft demolish on the suspected roosting areas and for the bat removal. This all went well the only downside was we never found any bats and I was looking forward to seeing at least one!!! All in all a very professional operation and I would recommend their services again.
We have used Arbtech for several of our projects. Matt has consistently proven to be always attentive, prompt replies, incisive knowledge and most importantly a clear understanding of our needs. He liaises well with our team and has a “can do” attitude as opposed to other Consultants that are not proactive at all. We have no qualms whosoever in recommending Matt and Arbtech to other companies. Do let me know if you require any further information
Very satisfied. An efficient and professional service at a reasonable price.
We had to have various visits, in relation to bats, newts and a barn owl. Craig was brilliant throughout and always uses his common sense. Whenever I had an email query he would always get back to me very quickly, and he was flexible to meet our needs.
Natalie has been an absolute joy to work with. Sharing similar views towards construction and ecology we were able to hit the ground running. She offered valuable suggestions to include within our design such as integrated Bat Boxes and also like our thoughts about creating a permaculture environments for wildlife integration. I will be picking her brains over this when closer to the time! Natalie is a grafter; I was one of her last onsites before going on holiday and she really grinded out my report before going away! Most people do not work like this and it really demonstrates the level of service she offers. For future projects, I consider Natalie to be my go to gal and just hope she doesn’t ascend the ranks too quickly out of fear of losing her to Managerial Responsibility :) Thanks again Natalie for all your hard works, it’s been emotional! Invite for drinks when house is finished, it’s in writing so it’s now legally binding! All the best, James
Charlotte is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. She explained precisely what she was doing and the reasons why she was doing it.
We are absolutely delightled with the service we received from Artech’s David Garrick and especially Jon Hartley. Their professionalism and support has been a real pleasure and support whilst going through quite a difficult situation with our Local Planning Authority. Thank you Jon for going ‘that extra mile’ for us. Brenda and Malcolm Calvin
