After trawling over the internet looking for jobs in arboricultural consultancy, Arbtech stood out from the crowd.
Arbtech has created a great model and approach to staff management, and the public service they provide looks to be second to none.
Mainly, for me, it’s the flexibility that working from home provides whilst still feeling connected within a team working environment.
I love to learn and Arbtech provides courses for continual professional development and the support that working with a team of specialists can offer.
Spending time with family and our menagerie of animal companions.
My wife and I enjoy hacks out over the South Downs on our horses and socialising with friends.
I love motorcycle road trips and enjoy maintaining my old classic.
I also study soil microbiology from home and enjoy analysing soil and compost samples with my microscope. I’d certainly consider myself a citizen scientist with a geeky interest in nematode identification.
Visualise where you want to be in life and create the space for it to happen with a balanced approach to incorporate the things that you love the most.
I haven’t yet experienced an Arbtech social, but I’m looking forward to getting involved.
From what I’ve seen online and heard from colleagues, the social meetups look awesome.
A trip to visit the Egyptian Great Pyramid and the Valley of the Kings is next on my list, particularly as I love megalithic architecture.
Equally, I’m just as happy to stretch out on a sandy beach in the sun somewhere nice in the world.
To have become fully engaged in performing the duties and responsibilities as an established member of the Arbtech team and contributing towards the overall success of Arbtech.
To complete the soil food web consultancy programme and look closely at exploring the opportunities of incorporating soil knowledge within arboriculture, with a specific focus on improving the health of urban trees.
Chris joined Arbtech in July 2023.
