What made you choose Arbtech?
After working primarily in hospitality, I’d wanted to expand my experience to a new industry, not only to set myself new challenges but also to meet new like-minded people.
I chose Arbtech because I found that my values aligned with the culture and community within the company, creating a work environment that is super supportive, hard-working and overall enjoyable where I can truly be myself.
I was welcomed by the team prior to being offered the job and it was a no-brainer to accept the position.
I am really pleased to have found such a great work-life balance – something that I had been craving in my previous roles.
What do you love most about the company?
I immediately loved the sense of community at Arbtech and the people.
You instantly see the importance that everyone holds for building strong relationships between clients and colleagues.
An emphasis on these areas makes for a great work environment.
What do you do when you are not at Arbtech?
Outside of work, I spend a lot of quality time with my close friends and family. I also have a lot of family who live in France, so I go and visit them as often as I can.
I absolutely love travelling, especially in Europe – booking holidays is my favourite hobby!
On a more day-to-day basis, I love going on big dog walks, spending time at the beach, and working out at the gym.
I like doing lots of active things, and I’m up for trying most things at least once!
What is your biggest tip to achieve the most in life?
I think it’s important to have a strong sense of self; knowing what makes you happy and not allowing others’ judgments and perceptions to hinder your progress or success in whatever area it might be.
Everyone’s measure of success is different, and as long as you’re happy and meeting your personal goals in your own way and at your own pace, then that’s all that matters.
What is the best social you’ve been on at Arbtech?
I’ve unfortunately not been on any socials at Arbtech yet.
From what I’ve heard from various colleagues, however, it sounds like they are amazing!
I am really looking forward to going on many socials with the company over the coming years.
Where do you want to travel to next?
I absolutely love France and would say that it is by far my favourite country in the world. I would really like to do a road trip around the south coast at some point.
One of my dream holidays, however, is to visit South America, go to the carnival in Rio De Janeiro, and climb Machu Picchu in Peru.
A lot of my friends have been travelling and done both. I’ve only heard great things, so I want to experience both for myself first-hand.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
My main hope in 5 years’ time is that I am happy in whatever I am doing.
I tend to focus on the present and create more short-term goals for myself, but in regard to professional aspirations, I would like to acquire as many skills and experiences as possible.
I love learning new things, and being able to expand my accomplishments is something that I am always looking to do.
What is a goal you have for the future, in or out of work?
A goal of mine would be to relearn Spanish.
I love being able to speak another language and have an ear for Latin languages.
Since having learnt it at A-level, I haven’t persisted with it but would love to be fluent in Spanish as well as French, and maybe learn Italian as well.
I suppose it could also go hand in hand with travelling across South America!
