What made you choose Arbtech?
I was already familiar with Arbtech, and when I saw an opportunity for an arboriculturist role combined with my landscape architecture experience, I thought this would be a great opportunity.
What do you love most about the company?
It’s a great fit for people who can work independently and take ownership of their responsibilities.
You’ll be trusted to manage your workload without close supervision, while still having support from colleagues whenever you need it.
This approach requires self-discipline and focus, but it also offers a high level of flexibility.
What do you do when you are not at Arbtech?
I get up to lots of things in my spare time!
I’m a mum to two fierce girls, and we often go on walks around our local areas, using our National Trust cards to visit different sites and learn about the history.
I also play netball regularly (which gets out any frustrations), and I like to go to as many keep fit classes as possible – fitness and healthy living are very important to me.
I’m an avid artist and mostly paint landscapes, horses and birds. I like to use oil paints and recently got into gouache.
I’m also big into crystals, energy healing and spirituality, often going to Glastonbury, stone circles and ancient monuments.
What is your biggest tip to achieve the most in life?
Balance.
When life is balanced, living harmoniously is the key to a happy and healthy lifestyle.
It can also feed into the concept of having everything in moderation – a little bit of something does you good.
What is the best social you’ve been on at Arbtech?
I haven’t been to any yet as I only recently joined Arbtech, but I’m excited to go to my first and get to know my colleagues better!
Where do you want to travel to next?
Japan.
My family and I are planning this mega holiday, as we are all into tech, nature and spirituality.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
5 years older! And fully chartered.
I am currently on the E2C with the Landscape Institute and picking up where I left off 10 years ago.
I will hopefully still be working here and overseeing a strong landscape department, as Arbtech really have created the perfect work/life balance.
What is a goal you have for the future, in or out of work?
Having gone to Japan and improved my fitness massively.
