Having worked within the housing and retrofit sector for the past year-and-a-half, Arbtech felt like an interesting opportunity to use some of that existing experience while learning about a completely different side of the built environment.
I’ve also always had a genuine love of nature, particularly forests and wildlife (especially bats), so I was really drawn to the environmental and ecological side of what Arbtech does.
It felt like a great opportunity to combine some of my existing experience with an industry I’m genuinely interested in learning more about.
If I’m not working, you’ll likely find me performing in a local show.
By trade, I’m a professional musical theatre performer and actress, so I’m always appearing in shows and musicals across Wales and Cheshire.
My husband and I are avid video gamers, so when I’m not on stage, I’ll be deep diving into some alternate reality or trying out a new baking recipe. I also adore forest walks and being out in nature.
I live and breathe everything spooky, so if I’m not performing, gaming, baking or hiding in a forest, I’ll be binge-watching a horror movie marathon with my two pet chinchillas.
Know your worth and don’t settle for anything less than you deserve.
Treat people with the care and empathy you wish to receive yourself, and listen. Listening will take you further than talking.
Also, don’t take anything for granted. Live life, and if there’s something you really want, throw everything you can at achieving it if it’s what your heart wants. And don’t give in to imposter syndrome – that’ll get ya!
I’ve had the pleasure of visiting a fair few places across the world in my time on Earth, but the next destination on my bucket list is Canada.
It sounds weird, but I really want to see a moose in real life and purchase as much maple syrup as airport security will allow me to bring home!
I’m also keen to visit Norway or Alaska to see the Northern Lights in person.
I honestly try not to think too far ahead.
For me, success is about being happy, healthy and surrounded by the people I love.
Career-wise, I’d like to continue developing my skills, taking on new challenges and progressing professionally, but I’m also a big believer in taking opportunities as they come rather than having a rigid five-year plan.
Maybe my husband might let me adopt some more chinchillas in the meantime!
Travel.
See the world, make memories with my family, and experience new cultures.
I’d also love to finish renovating our home. We’ve just finished ripping apart the upstairs, so next year, we’ll move on to the downstairs and the garden.
