Alan Thompson
Alan is an arboriculturist, having spent many years as a tree surgeon, before deciding to progress his career in professional arboriculture by joining Arbtech. Operating initially from Arbtech’s Chester office and now working from Glossop, he is one of the senior arbs; responsible for tackling tree surveys for developments large and small, throughout the north of England and Wales. He is a full professional Member of the Arboricultural Association (MArborA).
He is regularly all over the country, and frequently works from home when drafting CAD drawings, impact assessments, and writing reports. A former London Borough of Enfield Assistant Tree Officer, he is well equipped to deal with almost any planning issue that pertains to trees; though he specialises in being about the quickest and most efficient BS5837 tree surveyor money can buy.
Alan has been with us 8 years.
Robert Oates, managing director says:
Alan is a really top bloke. He’s dedicated, personable and has an incredible energy about him. I can only assume his commitment is the reason he can get surveys completed and reports out to customers so quickly. Also, frequently sat a mere twenty feet or so from him in the office, I genuinely learn from him each week: sometimes it’s a random fact about an 80s hit–but mostly its stuff I never knew about trees.
