The job post looked like a dream!
After looking at the company website, I was really impressed with the company’s reputation.
I was captivated by the company values, really related to them, and felt like they suited my own.
Going through the interview process compelled me even more.
From the first impression to reading the job advert, I’ve not been disappointed – Arbtech really lives up to its name!
I feel valued and excited by how much I can grow here. Everyone is so knowledgeable and helpful at Arbtech, leaving me feeling inspired and extremely supported.
I look forward to continuing to improve my own skills to be able to provide the same positivity and support to new ecologists in the future.
These days, if I’m not listening to country music in the car driving somewhere I’ve never been before, you can find me playing Call of Duty on the Xbox.
In my spare time, I also love to take my sisters’ dog for walks, to the pub, on train rides or boat trips – basically anywhere that will allow dogs!
I love the water, so I enjoy taking the blow-up kayak and paddleboard out on a trip. I recently took a trip to Ullswater Lake in the Lake District with friends I hadn’t seen in 8 years.
Give it a go!
Giving things a go gives you an understanding of your personal strengths and weaknesses, as well as your likes and dislikes, which are all equally as powerful as each other.
I’m a keen traveller and love meeting people and taking new opportunities. Doing this has allowed me to learn a lot about myself. Knowledge is power!
I started Arbtech earlier this year as an intern ,and straight from the get-go, I got to experience the renowned culture.
Our first week involved training with hotels provided. It was a great way to meet everyone, a fantastic start to the internship, and left a lasting impression on me!
Learning how to snowboard in Canada has always been a dream of mine.
While I’m over that side of the world, I would love to go to the heart of North America and visit Nashville in Tennessee to see as many country music artists as I can!
I’m excited about what I can achieve with Arbtech in the foreseeable future and aim to become fully qualified within the protected species aspect of UK ecology.
I am striving towards consulting at a senior level. In five years’ time, I would love to have a Level 2 bat licence, a great crested newt licence, and be on the way to achieving more.
I strive to become a highly skilled and well-rounded ecologist.
At some point in the future, I would like to own a small, self-sufficient farm, particularly as I would love to have the space and ability to adopt animals in need.
Operating within an ecological consultancy has given me an understanding of the aspects involved with planning that I didn’t realise I would learn. Working with a range of clients from homeowners to councils has been useful to gain a wider understanding of the details involved in achieving my goals.
Bethany joined Arbtech in October 2024.
