What made you choose Arbtech?
After seeing the role online, I looked at the website and loved how much Arbtech really looks after its employees and how much everyone clearly enjoys working there.
The company sounded interesting to me, and I was drawn to the sound of what they did and how they did it.
With 20 years of experience in credit control and working my way up to senior credit controller for a large company over the space of 11-and-a-half years, it is important for me to be a part of a good company on a long-term basis.
What do you love most about the company?
I love the people I’ve met at the company so far and how everyone has made me feel welcome, at ease and part of the team.
I am already looking forward to becoming a big part of the finance team, especially as we will be able to support each other and push each other to perform our roles to the highest possible standard.
What do you do when you are not at Arbtech?
I love walking and going to see live shows at the theatre.
I also enjoy spending a lot of my spare time with my husband of 30 years and my daughter, as well as my two-year-old granddaughter, who keeps me on my toes!
What is your biggest tip to achieve the most in life?
To achieve your goals, I believe you need to enjoy what you do, take pride in what you are doing, and complete any tasks to the highest possible standards.
Where do you want to travel to next?
For my next trip, I would love to go to New York, see a live show on Broadway, and take in all the sights.
America has a special place in our hearts after we were married there, stayed for three weeks, went to all the theme parks, and had the most magical wedding day.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
In five years, I would love to still be at Arbtech, as I can already see that it’s a lovely company to work for after meeting people first-hand and feeling welcome by all departments.
I would also love to have completed my AAT by then, as I always wanted to do that and know it would help the company and assist me in my role.
What is a goal you have for the future, in or out of work?
My goal is to go on a winter cruise with my husband and visit different countries.
More than anything, I’d love to see the northern lights.
