Becks Gane
I joined the 2024 internship after five or so years in the arb world.
It’s a company that puts a lot of time and effort into the wellbeing and education of the people who work there, and it’s a great place to start or – in my case – pick back up where I left off after some years outside of the ecology world.
The people I work with.
At their very core, every single person I work with is kind, supportive and willing to help guide and teach to ensure you’re on the right track.
The gym contribution isn’t bad either!
I’m one of those people that has a new hobby every week. But I also love to get out and explore with my dog, go to gigs, garden, keep carnivorous plants, and collect old books on natural history.
And when I’m completely exhausted, you’ll find me playing video games and watching horror films.
Other than being kind and patient to those around you…ignore the voice in your head that says:
And
It’s not something I have got down yet, but I’m working on it!
I went to a lovely barbecue with my southern eco pals recently.
I’m looking forward to many more company meetups in the future – especially the Christmas party!
I would like to go back to rural Transylvania.
It’s one of my favourite places in the world!
I honestly have no idea, but hopefully still here at Arbtech.
When it comes to my own life, I’m not much of a planner.
I’d love to eventually be qualified to be a hybrid.
Coming from an arb background, I miss working with trees and would love to get back there eventually.
My out-of-work goals are very focused on buying a house and getting married to my partner, and not necessarily in that order either.
The ultimate goal is to finally get myself a horse.
Becks joined Arbtech in October 2024.
