Leigh Dewey
I was actually approached by a recruitment agent.
It helped me to know which route to go down since I changed to a new direction in my career path and ended up in arboricultural surveying.
There were multiple similar companies that emerged as options to look through, but Arbtech shone out prolifically as the superior choice for me.
Needless to say, from what I have gathered so far, I appear to have made the right choice, for sure.
I spend as much of my free time as I can having fun with my son, including getting involved with voluntary coaching and assisting in organising his football team.
I love to exercise – both for physical reasons and the mental health benefits – and I’m really into listening and collecting records, as well as attending live gigs and events.
Any other free time is spent climbing and playing for my darts team.
I’ve got a few that I like to live by:
I’m sadly yet to have the pleasure, but I’m excited to get to know my colleagues better, especially at the next ArbCon.
If I’m honest, I’m genuinely not sure.
From my perspective, going anywhere different would be nice.
At the moment, I’ve got too many financial commitments and plans before I can even start considering holidays and travel luxuries.
In the next five years, I’d really like to be successfully progressing within the new role at Arbtech. For me, it’s a really exciting next chapter in my career.
It’d also mean a lot to me to be finally re-settled in another home of my own, both for me and my son.
More than anything, my goal is to be happy and content.
On top of that, I’d like to find financial stability on my own, study and achieve the level 4 qualification, get fitter and healthier through cycling, climbing, running and swimming, feel comfortable with the unfamiliar aspects of the new job here, and become as beneficial to Arbtech as I possibly can.
Leigh joined Arbtech in July 2025.
