I chose Arbtech primarily due to its reputation within the ecology industry.
I’d heard that they produced some of the best work and the best ecologists, whilst providing a great work-home life balance and opportunities for personal development that simply aren’t on offer at other companies.
The flexible working and the excellent work-life balance encouraged through working from home.
I somehow manage to be more productive than I have been at previous workplaces, whilst maintaining a busy social life and managing my other needs.
The balance definitely encourages a healthy balance and actually helped me to become a more productive employee!
I’m usually found outdoors, whether it be kayaking, hiking or gardening. Living in rural Worcestershire definitely has its perks!
Otherwise, I’m an avid gamer (strategy and RPG, obviously), and love hanging out with my two dogs and my snake, Athena.
Don’t settle for anything less than perfection.
As a new graduate, thus far, I’ve only attended our intern training/social in Oxford. It was great to meet the other interns and staff members.
The event was done in such a way that everyone was made to feel extremely welcomed and included (which I’m sure is hard with nearly 50 new starters), and the evening social was a great way to start building relationships with colleagues.
Australia.
That’s where everyone seems to be heading at the moment. Plus, for the reason that flying foxes are one of my favourite species of bat!
I see myself as a more refined and successful ecologist.
I believe I’m in the perfect place for these aims to be realised.
A goal of mine is to learn German so well that I can confidently speak it whilst travelling and can use it in my career.
