Chloe Quinn
I thought it was cool that Arbtech helps early-career ecologists break into the ecology sector via the internship. In fact, it’s something I haven’t seen before!
It’s great to be part of a company that supports professional growth and development.
I love the flexible working and the amazing team.
Everyone is so supportive, and it creates a great environment to learn and thrive in.
I’m fortunate to live on a farm, so I spend a lot of time outdoors with my partner.
We have horses that keep us busy!
I also enjoy running and staying active.
Push yourself outside your comfort zone; staying within it only limits you.
Great things happen when you challenge yourself and embrace new opportunities.
As a newbie, I haven’t been on a social yet, but I’m really looking forward to future ones, especially ArbCon!
I’ve been very lucky to travel and work in some incredible places, such as Floreana in the Galápagos Islands with Darwin’s Finches.
Next on my list is Australia. Actually, it’s been on my bucket list for a while!
As a graduate, I see myself developing my skillset to become a more experienced ecologist.
I’d love to gain my bat, great crested newt and hopefully barn owl licences, partly because I’m a bit of a bird nerd but also so I can be involved in more mitigation and supervision work.
I have a few goals, but my main one is to keep learning.
Once you stop learning, it’s easy to lose direction, and it’s a shame because there’s definitely always something new to discover!
I also hope to continue travelling and visiting beautiful places along the way.
Chloe joined Arbtech in October 2025.
