What made you choose Arbtech?
I chose Arbtech because it felt like a company that genuinely cares about supporting progression and special interests.
There are such great opportunities to work with knowledgeable and talented people while building your own skills.
I also loved the positive culture and the chance to get involved in great company socials.
What do you love most about the company?
Everyone is incredibly supportive, approachable and passionate about what they do.
Sharing knowledge and helping each other grow is a big focus here, which makes it a great place to develop both professionally and personally.
What do you do when you are not at Arbtech?
I love being out in wildlife and doing nature walks with my family.
I’m a big fan of camping and love to visit New Forest and see all the animals roaming about.
I’m also into video games, especially cosy ones that help me relax.
What is your biggest tip to achieve the most in life?
Never turn down an opportunity to learn something new.
You never know what little adventures can lead you to in the long run, so never stop looking for something unfamiliar to explore.
What is the best social you’ve been on at Arbtech?
ArbFest 2026!
It was amazing to spend time with people who are usually located hours away from you.
It’s also lovely to hang out with your colleagues outside of a work context and just have fun.
We also had some great activities set up so everyone got to do something they enjoyed.
Where do you want to travel to next?
I’m super interested in exploring the UK at the moment.
We have so many beautiful landscapes to explore, and I’ve always loved a good hiking trail.
I think Wales has some beautiful scenery that I rarely ever get to see, so I think that’s next on my list.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
In five years, I’d love to be recognised as a professional botanist and continue building my knowledge of plants and habitats.
I currently hold a FISC Level 3, and one of my goals is to achieve FISC Level 5.
I’d like to continue developing my surveying and identification skills and become a specialist in my field.
What is a goal you have for the future, in or out of work?
My biggest goal is to expand my botanical knowledge.
Studying biology and terrestrial habitats at university really gave me an appreciation for plants and how integral they are to all ecosystems.
I’d love to reach a point where I’m able to teach others with confidence and feel secure in my field.
Teanne joined Arbtech in September 2026.
